The short version

HotWaterLocal collects as little as possible. No accounts, no advertising trackers, no marketing cookies, and the rebate calculator runs entirely in your browser — your answers are never sent to us or stored.

What we do process

• Emails you send us (corrections, removals, listing submissions): we use your email address only to handle your request.
• Hosting logs: our host (Vercel) processes standard technical request data (such as IP address) to serve and secure the site.

Business listings

Listings describe companies using information those companies publish on their own websites. If a listing includes information about you and you want it corrected or removed, email hello@hotwaterlocal.com — removals are actioned within one week.

Your rights

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold by emailing hello@hotwaterlocal.com. If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
